The USA Water Ski Awards Reception was held Saturday, January 30th in Polk City, Florida. Wayne and Barbara Canfield received the Award of Merit. Bill Von Zabern received the "That's Incredible" Award from both the Hydrofoil Organization as well as USAWS. (Wayne and Bill both posthumbously.)
Barbara and Karen, as well as many members of the VonZabern family, were there to receive the awards presented by the organization. It was a celebratory but emotional night for all. Both received standing ovations.
Also from the Western Region, Cal Poly Pomona received the NCWSA Team of the Year Award and Terry Goodman for Outstanding Coach. Congratulations everyone!
Al Van has plans in the works for the second annual Bill VonZabern tournament. Events include barefoot, slalom and freestyle. For details to follow shortly. February 6th UPDATED Announcement
