                 Meeting held on Thursday June 2nd 2005

 

Meeting called to order by Jay Fitzpatrick at Nathan’s home Time 7:25pm

 

Thanks to the hosts!      Tom & Erin Nathan

 

Welcomed our new potential member -  Martilla Family -Dave, Julie, Amanda, Brianna, and Conner.  Huge volunteered to show them the ropes.

 

Treasurer Report- Jim Brooks reported showing a little low but after adding in the May Open & $175.00 profit we made on the Fiesta Days Booth we will back on track.

 

Shed report – Shed is done and we should be moved in.  Still figuring out the locks, shower, water, etc..  Bruce volunteered to put up shelves.

Voted - club would spend $300 on shelves- 1st Bruce, 2nd Huge, All in favor.

 

Jay thanked all who helped make Fiesta Day’s such a success.  The Ski Show went without a hitch again and so did the Food Booth.

Need to send a letter of Thanks out to all that donated boats- Plus letter in Friday Flyer.

Also make sure that everyone was paid for gas.

 

Advertising on the Web- invoicing – etc.  Tabled

 

Sponsorship for September Tournament T-shirts    - Jim Brooks had called Ford but did not get a return call- Diana Olson volunteered to help with getting more sponsors.

 

New positions-   Need volunteers to fill the new positions.

 

Learn to ski day- Club will sponsor once again the AWSA guest membership.

Debbie Sacs & Diana Olson will set up dates- during the week in the Afternoon one end of June and the other 2nd week of August.  Will advertise in the Friday Flyer and they will need to RSVP.  Bruce, Wayne, Barbara, Coach, Huge, etc said they would again assist.

Need boats?  Whitlow’s had called asking if they could use the back at the same time for Hydrofoil- We are not officially closing down the course so that may be a problem with the Wakeboarders?

 

Wed Evening Edge - discussed equipment - Dee has the ropes – Jay has Radio’s & Clipboards.  Susie had suggested bringing in food during the tournament we also discussed waiting to see if everyone wished to have a B B-Q.  Start 2nd round at 3pm? 

 

Water Safety Clinic- Quick refresher on Water Safety will be conducted at the tournaments so that everyone going out in the Safety boat is more aware on what the job entails.

 

 

July Workers- July is a 6 round tournament so we need to start on time and make sure the tournament runs smoothly.  Tom Nathan is working on Trick Video.  Need to transition to the jump lagoon quickly. 

 

Make sure the Wakeboard learn to ski days are set up after Regionals and Nationals for the 2006 season.

 

Learn to jump and drivers clinic- Tabled

 

Jump for our Club Tournaments November & April- Need to talk with Dee about set up and also if it needs to run as a Class C?   Tabled

 

Lots of discussion on setting up a Mini Course- We will get a list of skiers requesting the Mini Course and then set up some dates to install.  Coach will help with the list.

 

Tom Nathan volunteered to send out a letter to all the Club Members that have not paid 2005 dues.  About 20 members.

 

Bruce has introduced a new system for scoring and will get together with Kenny to see how our scores would of come out from last year.    Tabled

 

Club of the Year- Points for new membership of AWSA cannot be used unless member has not been a member since 1999.  Membership should let Nathan know of any upgrades or points that we can use for Club of the Year.
