Meeting held on March 8, 2007

 

 

Meeting called to order by Tom Nathan at Yarbrough’s home Time 7:35pm

 

Thanks to our Hosts Bruce & Norma Yarbrough for a great meeting and lots of good snacks.

 

 

Attendance: Tom, Stan, Laura, Wayne, Adena, Bruce, Jim, Dan, Huge, Norma, Diana.

 

2007 Sun, Snow, & Dirt:

Friday March 30th Dirt

Saturday March 31st Water

Sunday April 1st Snow

Event proceeds will benefit Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.

Thanks Laura!  You did a Fantastic job!

Jim Bollingmo Memorial Foundation of Big Bear, California donated $500 in food & gas gift cards to the Family of Gavin Condit.

Scott paid over 1000 for Ins at Cheyenne lakes to hold the Dirt.

Next year we will try and have the Sun & Snow on Saturday and the Dirt on Sunday.

Laura had some fun T-shirts made up.

 

Web Page:

Laura will continue to be our Web-Master.

Huge is willing to take over the job if needed.

At this time Laura just would like help from other ski club members.

Huge, Stan, Ken, etc have volunteered to write stories and send pictures.

Need fresh pictures send them to Laura.

Newsletter will be started with the help of Huge and will be e-mailed.

Would like to see scoring with a total point system for our tournaments YTD results on the web Huge & Bruce are working on this.

 

Web Cam:

John Morton Jr. has volunteered to help but is been a bit busy with the new baby.

 

Jump:

Jim Brooks may replace Dee as jump coordinator.  Jim Brooks in training.

Jim, Dee, Etc will be working on the jump day of the banquet.

Need to wax jump

 

CLSC Banquet:         

Tom & Erin have been working hard to set up our Banquet.

All is in place for a fantastic event.

Honoring the history of Canyon Lake’s National Champions.

Held at the Lodge Lighthouse Restaurant – Holiday Bay Room at 6:00pm.

Raffle with lots of prices to bid on and win.  Bindings, Skis, Boat Cover, Mirror, D3 stuff, etc..

Chicken, Tri Tip, Poached Salmon, and Chicken tenders will be served.

Forest Fisher will do a 15-minute presentation about what it takes to win.

Lots of RSVP

 

Fiesta Days:

WE NEED A COORDINATOR!

Stan will call Randy & Denise and see if they would like to be in charge this year again.

They did a great job last year.

 

April Tournament:

Bruce, Wayne, etc.. will fix our floating tower.

Paul Johnson from the POA is buying all the cables for the course etc…

Water level down.  Course needs tightening.

Where are all the Trickers?

 

Clean up day:

Need to set up date?  Saturday before Mother’s Day in May?  (5/12/2007)

Cub Scouts have offered to help. 

Ask Wakeboard club to help.

 

Bob Barton Trophy:

Skier that did the most for the Western Region with 3 Event skiing.

All in favor of Pat Rogers.
